<p class="is-style-default has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">6:15am the alarm sounds. I roll out of bed and stare at my wardrobe. It takes me no longer than five minutes to dress and a few more to freshen up before breakfast. I sit on the love seat scrolling aimlessly as I spoon cereal into my mouth. It’s dark except for the warm glow of the table lamp where my morning coffee rests. I finish my breakfast and apply my make-up, snuggle my dog and kiss my hubby goodbye. My drive to work runs along a route taking me from city to countryside, where I take in the calm surroundings before my shift begins. My job is where I spend the majority of my precious energy. At the end of my day, I pack-up, head down the rural road into the city back home where Winston is waiting for his walk. After my walk with my dog I shower, prepare dinner, relax and tuck myself in around eight o’clock. I nod off to a dream in which I am the hero in a car chase…</p>

<p class="is-style-default has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><em>…’Panic’ has lured me into a needless car chase. She’s buckled me in tight, driving recklessly with disregard for all traffic laws. Adrenaline pumps through my veins, poisoning my peace and tranquility. I cover my eyes as she swerves to dodge other drivers. We barely avoid a crash, and I&#8217;ve had enough. My determination unleashes superhero strength as she tightly grips the steering wheel. I man her into submission, forcing her into the passenger seat. Despite the screeching tires and revving engine I steer us back on course, lowering the gears and regaining control. ;</em></p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><em>I am the captain of this trip. I determine our destination. She will comply. We will drive at my speed and my comfort. There will be no detours or off-roading. It is my map that we follow. I alone know the safest route. ;</em></p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><em>In this dream, I am the hero who restrains us with routine. As long as Panic complies…</em></p>
